Program m3u8x is to help you download and save video Depends on m3u8
1) Copy M3U8 file and then paste its file link to "m3u8x" , can also support to download multiple M3U8 files one time, so you can paste many M3U8 file links to "m3u8x".
2) you can select other file format, like .ts and MP4 .
3) Click "Convert audio codec" button to select M3U8 as your final output "audio codec" or you can select other "audio codec", like MP2 and "Android visualOn AAC".
4) Click "Download" button to complete the downloading M3U8 file process.
5) can Combine/Join multiple videos to one video , and you can convert to (.ts , .mp4 , .mp3)
6) You can download (.vtt)subtitle from m3u8 stream and convert to (.srt).
7) Click play for preview video.
you can also control the playing process using the following interactive commands :
q , ESC : Quit.
f : Toggle full screen.
p, SPC : Pause.
m : Toggle mute.
s : Step to the next frame. Pause if the stream is not already paused, step to the next video frame, and pause.
left/right : Seek backward/forward 10 seconds.
down/up : Seek backward/forward 1 minute.
page down/page up : Seek to the previous/next chapter. or if there are no chapters Seek backward/forward 10 minutes.
right mouse click : Seek to percentage in file corresponding to fraction of width.
left mouse double-click : Toggle full screen.

Thank you it finally worked on those site with token, but i do see some error flashing in the download status when downloading the video, probably due to my internet connection hiccup, is there any way to automatically retry the segment download when it timeout on some segment? since when i see the video result i see some skipped frame

I tried using your program in HBO GO, but when I pasted the HAR data into m3u8x it was not able to filter a link. Is this because HBO GO does not use m3u8? Thank you so much. Your program is amazing with just one flaw: it's a bit slow during download, while the command line is very fast. I used the following command line via terminal session (cmd.exe):

When I click "one to one" and then download, I get "illegal characters in path". The name file ends up with tildes and asterisks in it and thats my guess at why that error pops up.

DeleteI've been trying to download qello.com videos using this for a few hours now. I'm not sure why but it will download a portion of a concert and then just hang. No errors, it just stops downloading. I use a bandwidth meter that tells me my speed. It starts downloading at roughly 13MBps (yes MegaBytes) and gets to 10-20% and stops downloading. If I download the concert track by track it works like it's supposed to. I am not sure why it does this.

ReplyDeleteI've put the goo.gl link it into jdownloader and it downloads the same as it would as if I put the whole long URL in it..
If I put the short one in yours it doesn't do anything so if you go to the short from the google doc I linked to, that short goo.gl link will give you the URL forwarding info, put that into both the URL path and the Quality area, it will start downloading.. It gets a lot downloaded but then stalls out. Jdownloader does not stall and completes the download leaving me with a mp4 file that's 2.42GB's... I will be deleting the shared doc in the next week to give you time to play around with it to see if the whole file will download for you..
I was finally able to get a full concert, the one I linked to in my last comment, finished with your app... 5 attempts out of 6 is too much of a gamble when jdownloader has worked 100% of the time now, even at the 1080p files which are about 5-7 GBs depending on the length of the concert...

How in the world do you get this to work on Windows 7? I downloaded the file named m3u8x.rar to my Desktop. Then, I click on it, and it doesn't install or run. It just gives me a message saying Windows can't open the file.

I think I figured it out.
ReplyDeleteMy computer didn't have a program for opening the .rar file.
So, I went to the link below to convert the .rar file to a .zip file.

I then extracted the contents of the .zip file, and I can now run the m3u8x.exe application.

I have 126 .ts files / parts that I want to join to create a .mp4 video.

When I try to join them it seems to join them, but then it says that it is "Impossible to open". Why can't it join, open, and play the video?
If I insert the link to the .m3u8 file, for the video that I want to play, into the Quality URL field, of the m3u8x application, it plays the video just fine. But, if I download and save the individual .ts files to my computer, and try to join them, it won't work. Why?
I think files(MoviePartNUM.ts) is encrypted

ReplyDeleteFirstly, please forgive my bad English .I'm your super fans now, this m3u8x is exactly useful, it was solved my connection issue which to download the video from Taiwan video website and found the video was dropped frame after downloaded due to Vpn data transfer not so stable. But one ...one function retry download has solved this issue.
So under this condition, I need to manually click retry button few times to make sure all of the segments of files is downing succeed. Can u add the function can retry to download the files automatically or it does already exist (if have please teach me how to use it )

DeleteCan i have the version which the dauflt setting is maximum times of Auto-Refresh(and last time the version u left here ,the maximum time of Auto-Refresh is 10 times ,If u can incresase the refresh times to 20 or 30 times i will be appreaciate) . Note: Please use VPNGate to get an IP address from Japan to access AbemaTV. (Don't use Hola or anything else, it won't work).

bro I've tried it. It still works just follow these steps for every mbcshahid link
Delete1-after extracting the m3u8 linl put it url box
2-click on headers and make sure that all boxes are empty if not click on delete then past the same link from step 1 in Referer box and save
3- click on quality and choose the preferred quality.
4- now the quality url appeared copy it to notepad.
5- tick One.One option and click download
6- you will notice the urls start with Fragments.. so they are incomplete we need to correct them go to settings.
7- in "Replace text in download link" box fill these without quotation signs:-
Value : "Fragments"
now from quality url take this part "https://shahid01-ll.hs.llnwd.net/17320774-ec9f-43d7-bfbf-a1ea1d16340c/3000047993_TXMHD_Fouq_Al_Sahab__.ism/QualityLevels(3392641)/"
and add "Fragments" to the end of the link and put it in replace box
8- click save and start download
9- enjoy

I am trying to get video from a multi-bitrate hls, and instead of video quality I am getting listing for Bandwidths which give me this error when I click download: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
